Presentation 1: Zoë-Life Zoë-Life is a Durban based organisation which has innovated several game-changing models and tools which address really difficult social and health challenges. Join us for a discussion about how we can innovate meaningfully in a way that we can bring health and healing to our country. Zoë-Life will share two of their innovations, and highlight the lessons learned along the way.

Presenter 1: Dr Stephanie Thomas, Director and Founder of Zoë-Life. Dr Stephanie Thomas is the Founder and Director of Zoë-Life. Stephanie, a medical doctor, has worked in HIV and public health for 17 years, innovating sustainable and scalable models of integrated care within the South African context. Stephanie founded Zoë-Life in 2004 and has guided the organisation to remain innovative, relevant, and responsive to the HIV epidemic and its drivers. Zoë-Life has contributed to grassroots solutions that have gone to inform national policy and strategy, particularly in maternal and child health and HIV. Presentation 2: Socially and Economically Marginalised Solutions should draw the strengths of the city, business and civil society together. This will ensure that the rights of the socially- and economically- marginalised are holistically and practically incorporated into the city’s vision for future investment and economic development. Presenter 2: Justice Matarutse, Research Advisor on Policy, Strategy, Information and Research at eThekwini Municipality.
