Presentation: Making sense of the UIF’s COVID-19 TERS Benefits Process.
Presented by Natalie Singer, Executive Consultant at Global Business Solutions.
The process of applying for UIF’s COVID-19 TERS benefits has been frustrating for many businesses. Many employers hoped that the process of receiving financial relief for employees who had lost income during the lockdown period would be simple. For some, this has been the case, with time from application to payment being as short as a few days. For the majority, however, it has not been so simple with some employees getting paid, others getting “lost” in the system and many still stuck on the declined list despite numerous emails and documents sent to the nominated email addresses. The uFiling system has also presented many challenges. With the May 2020 application period recently opened, many employers are anxious to get matters sorted out to secure the financial relief essential for meeting their commitments to employees. In her presentation, Natalie will answer your frequently asked questions, provide practical guidance on how to move your application forward and share experiences from the many clients she has assisted so far.
